WHAT DATA DO WE STORE?

  • We value your privacy and never collect sensitive information such as passwords, authentication tokens, or payment details. The data we do collect includes:
    • User IDs – to associate stored avatars and messages with specific users.
    • Server IDs – to identify which server the data belongs to.
    • Channel IDs – to track where messages were sent.
    • Message Content – stored only for the message logging feature.
    • Avatars – stored to provide an avatar history feature for users.
    Our bot never asks for personal data, and we actively discourage any actions that violate Discord's Terms of Service.

WHY WE NEED THIS DATA?

  • This data is essential for Snare’s core features:
    • Storing and displaying avatar history for users.
    • Maintaining a searchable archive of messages for moderation or record purposes.
    • Ensuring accurate server, channel, and user identification for logs.
    Without this data, these features cannot function.

HOW DO WE USE THIS DATA?

  • The data is used exclusively for:
    • Providing a history of user avatars.
    • Allowing authorized users to search and view past messages.
    • Delivering accurate logs tied to the correct server, channel, and user.
    We do not sell, rent, or use this data for any purpose outside of Snare’s functionality.

HOW LONG DO WE STORE YOUR DATA?

  • Data is stored for as long as Snare is present in your server. When Snare is removed or banned from your server, all associated data (avatars, messages, and IDs) will be deleted and will no longer be accessible to anyone.

WHO DO WE SHARE THE DATA WITH?

  • We do not share your data with any third parties. All stored data is hosted securely on Backblaze B2 (for avatars and message logs) and is only accessible by authorized Snare bot operators.
